Tinkerbell Finally Completed!

I finally finished Tinkerbell tonight! I need to take a better picture of the final piece but here she is. 

WIP Tinkerbell Update

Just wanted to let everybody know I did work on Tinkerbell tonight! I didn't get to far with the wings, and I am trying to figure out how I am going to make them iridescent looking. I decided I am going to wait to share anymore Work In Progress pictures until she is complete. Hopefully by next week she will be completely finished.

Weekly Adventures

I have been meaning to write on here for the past 2 weeks, maybe I should call it monthly adventures. There has been so much going on, I am just going to get to it.

On Wednesday July 3rd, the boyfriend and I went and checked out the Food Truck Invasion. It was crazy packed down there with 38 trucks to choose from. We settled on Miami Gourmet Sandwiches because I saw they had Parmesan Truffle Fries and I wanted to try them. I also got a Panko-Crusted Avocado BLT, that was amazing.

They had fireworks there at the end of the night!

The next day for the Fourth of July, I made a Pork Aus Jus in the crockpot, and I made a White Wine Sangria. We spent the night with great friends and family.

All the fireworks had my poor dog so scared. He was so pitiful he wouldn't even go outside to go bathroom.

My sister and her family made it in town on the Fourth of July. The next day we went to the beach and had a nice relaxing time.

Saturday night we all went out to celebrate my nephew turning the big 21. We drank lots of shots and and a blast. The one shot he wanted to try was a Flaming Dr. Pepper, without the Flame.

On Sunday, a big group of friends and family went out to the Winery that the boyfriend and I went to a couple of months ago. Everybody loved it and I think we have turned them all into wine-o's, LOL!

The winery's grapevines are starting to produce some grapes.

The past couple of weekends I have been trying to take it easy. Work has been busy as usual. Also I am still trying to work up my endurance to race in the Color Vibe 5K race.

I also have some sad news. My Raven kitty passed away last Monday. She was such a cool chill cat. I will miss her tremendously. I did have a feeling she was getting ready to go, she stopped eating and was staying away from the house more. She was such a pretty kitty. She was 13 years old.

WIP Tinkerbell #9

Starting to feel closer to being done. Tonight I touched up her dress and finally did her eyes. I think they came out decent. Hopefully I will be done with her next week. I just have to do her wings and add some fairy dust.

WIP Tinkerbell #8

More Work In Progress on Tinkerbell. I didn't get to far on her tonight. Got some touch up done and finished off the flowers. I cleaned up the edges of the wings and I still need to paint them and add detail. Her dress needs some more touch up and detail added, and I need to finish her eyes. Getting closer to being finished! This past weekend was super busy and I am still tired from all the craziness. I will do a Weekly Adventures soon to let you know what I was up to.

Weekly Adventures

I just looked back to see when the last time I posted a Weekly Adventure and it has been almost a full month. We are still super behind at work and trying to get all the books laid out. Which reminds me I haven't posted any of my design work in awhile. I need to get on that soon.

So what has been going on in the past month. Earlier this month we had a Tropical Storm move through our area. That evening the sunset was amazing!

There were also a couple of rabbits hanging out in the front yard after the storm.

A week after that I woke up one morning and this was the sky in my backyard when the sun was rising.

That same day I received this awesome Skull Pendant that I ordered from Anatomical Element on Etsy. If you get a chance check out her shop, very beautifully made copper pendants.

I found out that one of those color 5k races, is coming to my area. I have been wanting to run in one of these, because they look like so much fun. I am using this as a motivation for me to start working on an exercise routine. I am a bit overweight and need to kick myself in the ass and get moving. I thought this was a great way to get myself motivated to get off my ass. The race isn't until December 14th! I downloaded an app for my phone called 5K Runner. I started this program on Sunday and boy am I sore. The name of the race is Color Vibe, my goal is to try to run the whole 5K.

Another thing I am looking forward to is, this week we have both the Fourth of July and Friday off of work. Better than that my sister will be here and has the whole weekend planned out already. So look for some exciting pictures next week.

TV: Under the Dome started last Monday, and I am just past the halfway point in the book. The show was great, although there are quite a bit of differences from the book already. Seeing the graphics of the Dome appearing was awesome. It is on again tonight but it comes on late so I will watch it tomorrow. 

Movies: A couple of weeks ago the Boyfriend and I went and saw Man of Steel. This has to be the best Superman movie yet. I have to say the only original Superman I ever really remember seeing is Superman 2 when Zod and his crew came back. It had been forever since I have seen any of these movies, so I don't remember a lot of the details. I think they did a better job explaining the back story of  how and why he became Superman.

Music: I am going to end this with one of my all time favorite artists, P!nk, who just released this video today. This is one of my favorite songs off this album. This song also reminds me of how I think about the Boyfriend.
