LifeBook 2014 ~ Week 10 ~ Positive Life Connections

If you noticed I did go from Week 8 to Week 10. Week 9 was an artist interview with Claudine Hellmuth, if possible click on her name, she is a wonderful artist that does the cutest package designs.

On to Week 10, This lesson was so much fun! It was a paint over collage technique by Tamara Laporte, She is the creator of LifeBook. She had us clip out a picture of a face from a magazine. We then used the face as a guide and painted over it.

This was the original image before I painted over it.

January Adventures

January was a pretty quiet month. I think we were just trying to get back in the swing of things from the holidays.

I was able to finish one of my LifeBook 2014 lessons.

I only took a few sunset photos.

I was just checking my Goodreads and found that I have finished 4 books this month.

1. Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking - This book was very interesting to read. It mostly takes you through the author's research and findings through other peoples studies on behavior and personalities. It made me think a little differently and realize I need to take time out to recharge.

2. Shiver - This is a young adult book. I enjoyed this take on werewolves, where they are only wolves during the winter. There is a bit of a love story involved but the kept story going and interesting.

3. The School of Good and Evil - This book is a children's story and turned out to be super cute. Two girls get kidnapped and taken to this school of teaching kids the fairytale lives of good and evil. The girl that you think should be good and the princess ends up on the evil side and the other girl that you thought would be on evil ends up in the good side. It shows their struggles on dealing with the side they end up on.

4. These Broken Stars - This is a young adult book. It starts out with a bunch of people traveling on a huge space ship. The high class girl meets the lower class soldier but because of class they can't hang out. Then the ship is starting to crash and they end up on an escape pod together. Then the escape pod lands on this planet that there is no life on except wildlife. These two people start off not getting a long very well had having to figure out where they are and camp together. There are some weird sci-fi kind of stuff that goes on in it. It was a very good story and kept you wanting to know more.

Also we went and saw the movie American Sniper. I am not the type of person that likes war movies, but the boyfriend wanted to see it. I thought the content of the movie was very heavy and left you still processing it at the end. I think in the back of your mind you think you know what goes on during war, but when you see it on the big screen it is heartbreaking what these men and woman go through. I liked that you were seeing everything through one person's point of view.

Hopefully I will have more to show you next month.
